Repository and self-archiving policy
The journal promotes the dissemination, visibility, and interoperability of its scholarly content through deposition in national and institutional open-access repositories.
The final published version of the article (version of record) is deposited in:
-
ALICIA National Repository (Acceso Libre a Información Científica para la Innovación – CONCYTEC, Peru), and
-
the Institutional Repository of the Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño San Borja.
Articles are deposited in repositories without an embargo period, ensuring immediate open access to the published articles.
Furthermore, under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), authors may deposit the final published version of their article (version of record) in institutional, subject-based, or open access repositories of their choice, without an embargo period, provided that the original source of publication is properly cited and the corresponding DOI is included.
The journal accepts the submission of manuscripts previously disseminated as preprints, in accordance with its Preprints Policy. Preprints deposited before submission of the manuscript to the journal may remain publicly available, provided that their existence is disclosed and cited in accordance with that policy.
To clarify the editorial treatment of the different manuscript versions, the journal establishes the following:
| Version | Established treatment |
|---|---|
| Preprint deposited before submission | May remain publicly available, provided that it is disclosed and cited in accordance with the journal’s Preprints Policy. |
| Version submitted for evaluation (submitted version) that does not correspond to a previously disseminated preprint | Must not be deposited or publicly disseminated during the editorial process. |
| Accepted version (accepted version) | Must not be deposited or publicly disseminated in external repositories. |
| Final published version (version of record) | Is the version authorized for deposit and public dissemination as the official version of the article. |
The version submitted for evaluation through the OJS editorial management system (submitted version), when it does not correspond to a previously disseminated preprint, remains registered as part of the internal editorial workflow and must not be deposited or publicly disseminated during the editorial process.
The accepted version of the manuscript (accepted version), following the peer-review process and prior to final publication, likewise remains registered as part of the internal editorial workflow and must not be deposited or publicly disseminated in external repositories.
Without prejudice to the continued public availability of a preprint previously disseminated in accordance with the journal’s Preprints Policy, once the article has been published, the version authorized for deposit and public dissemination as the official version of the article is the final published version (version of record), in accordance with the open access, licensing, and citation conditions stated above.
